Fate/Stay Night...if you look around anime sites and stuff, you really can't escape this title. It's all over the web. Meh bored today and decided to take a break from madly trying to finish up the last of my homework (stupid trip !!!). So decided among other things to dl the promo for the said show. Ian has mentioned the series title once and a while...enough for me to remember the name and stuff. Actually, heard of the game since the times when fireclaw occasionally lurked in the GSD forums. So yeah, this title does summon some bits of intrique in fireclaw.
Hmm...I've watched Tsukihime while mild interest. Didn't realize it's H-game roots until that one amusement part episode. It did a pretty good job straying from that path which made the series far more tasteful. Still...that one scene was really
wtheck!!! worthy and seemed so outta place. ~shrug~ This is what I get when my main anime correspondant and supplier is a guy. I end up watching stuff that I usually wouldn't touch.
Meh, Fate/Stay Night was licensed even before it came out. This alone makes me curious. Nevertheless, I have some confidence someone is going to fansub it. If they don't...it's still coming out on RAWS. If not in English sites, I can nab it off Chinese ones. I have my sources ~pulls on fake glasses and attempts to look very otaku...and fails~
Um the Trailer was interesting. Pretty too. Fights looked awesome. Background music they played was also nice (and a nice change from all the Yuki Kajiura fireclaw has been listening to) Though the seiyuu (particually the girls) raise alarm bells. I stake my life that Rin, the girl in red, is VA by the dude that did Yumi from Marmite. Trailer started with her speaking;if you don't look at it...gawd it's so Yumi. I'm also fairly confident that whatever the lead main ish called, if VA by the dude that did Uchiha Sasuke. (I knew there was a reason that I intially hated him besides the fact that fireclaw usually hates lead males until proven otherwise)
[EDIT: Gawd I was right. Not only that-- nearly all girls in the show have like..."yuri" voices. o_O Saber-Chikane, Sakura-Himeko, Rin-Yumi, Taiga-Sachiko. ~deeply disturbed~]
On another note, Archer is pretty. Silver hair dude!! Except for some reason ...he too rings alarm bells that makes him fall short of the "automatic bishie list". fireclaw distrusts his character. But...pretty-ish. He automatically gains a +5 coolness points for having silver hair. He gains another +3 when he said "I am the bone of my sword" in English. It didn't sound bad...actually sounded pretty cool. In his action sequence he looked pretty pretty. Though when I hear her voice, fireclaw'll automatically think "Yumi"...Archer's partner/master/whatever, Rin, is also pretty cool too. Chances are they'll end up as my fav chars of the series.
So yeah...I think the first epi was scheduled to air sometime this week. Somehow...I'll make the time to dl and watch it. Depend from there if I actually decide to keep it. Only following MO right now. Could use a change... Since the main leads a guy...hopefully I won't have to deal...~shuts up~
Meybbe it's because I been listening to Destination all of today, but like...Madlax won't get out of my head. For the most part it was superbly done. It was good that I was able to watch most of it in bunches or else I would've died. It did start to drag in some areas (fillers were not
bad but they did drag a little) I liked most of the ending except for the last couple of seconds. Didn't like the modified "status quo" they had. There were too many senseless deaths in Madlax too. And the ending with Madlax and the "scary person" bothered me a whole lot. It was like...at the very end, after all that has happened..the "kind/gentle killer" goes back to being a mercenary and kills people along with the scary cockroach of a sniper lady? I think the show aimed too high but manage to deliever a masterpiece. Like just about everything fireclaw likes: you either like the show or you don't. That and you either understand what was going on or had no idea. Me...I loved the slight delving the show did into the human mind though that too could of been improved. ^__^ The show had strong female leads and not that much fanservice. It was nice. Liked both Madlax and Margaret Burton's character.
well they ARE the same dudesHmm..."yasashii hitogoroshi"...for some reason, I really really like that oxymoron title of sorts. It's just cool...sorta poetic in my half dazed, sleepy head.
