hehe drabble thingy
I can't believe how productive I'm being. >.< Tis amazing. Anyway, I was working on D10 and suddenly got this really interesting idea. I think I might play with the concept more once I finish the D-series. Tis a promising idea and I like it enough.
Drabble drabble
Title: Drabble thingy (Can't think of anything XP)
Characters: The Shiz and the Nats, but not really the ShizNats, foshizzle ~couldn't resist~
Rating: PG-ish?
Word Count: 489
Timeline: Pre- MH series, pre-friendship. Probably a week or two after their first meeting in the flower garden.
Warnings: I wrote this really fast so it's probably rather unreadable and stuff.
The first time Natsuki had given Shizuru what she would come to know as the other girl’s customary death glare, Shizuru had been petrified. Just for that moment, she had been terrified of the younger girl who had just tackled her and was now above her, both hands on her neck, choking her. There was something there, in her eyes and her expression that had some sort of power in them; they made her see that the girl in front of her was hiding something undeniably painful past—in Natsuki’s shadow there were demons lurking that created the deep-seated anger she now saw in her eyes. Despite that, Shizuru saw something else there that immediately captured her attention and she had been caught off guard more by what she saw there than the pain she felt as neck was being crushed by those two small, yet surprisingly strong hands.
“Don’t you dare think you know anything about me!” The middle school student yelled at her. There was so much anger in that voice that it frightened Shizuru. However, her empathy overrode her fear and she smiled at her. Her action surprised Natsuki enough to lessen the girl’s grip on her neck.
“You have pretty eyes,” she commented hoarsely and then wondered why she said it. But it was true—the younger girl did have mesmerizing eyes.
The effect of her words surprised her: Natsuki blushed and her hands quickly let go of her neck although she still was straddling Shizuru’s side.
“S-Shut up!”
“It’s true,” she said, ignoring the pain she still felt and sat up. Natsuki’s blushed darkened as the proximity between them became so small that she could feel the other girl’s breath on her face. Shizuru’s smile grew wider and more mischievous as her arms reached upwards to pull the girl into a very intimate hug, “Actually, I think Kuga-san is very beautiful and I’m very flattered that she finds me attractive enough to push me to the floor.” Her boldness scared her and she wondered why the blush on her face was actually real. She pulled out of the embrace enough so that she could see the extremely cherry red face. “But this is my first time so please be gentle with me,” she coyly finished.
Oh dear, it seemed that the younger girl was frozen to her spot as if she had completely shut down. Letting her grip on Natsuki loosen, Shizuru asked, concerned, “Kuga-san, are you alright?”
A few more seconds passed and suddenly those emerald eyes she found so enchanting focused. And then…her right cheek stung.
“Baka!”
The next thing she realized was that Natsuki had ran out of the classroom. Picking herself up, Shizuru walked to the door and watched the figure disappear from her view. Despite all the abuse she had suffered, she had to smile to herself. Really, what an interesting girl, this Kuga Natsuki. She was further intrigued.
fireclaw note: I figured angry middle school Natsuki would be all violent and stuff. Thus leads me to think that Shizuru may be kinda masochistic. >.< I mean...it might explain...stuff. ~ish shot~
